The Fire Bible may be one of the world's most popular Bibles, having been translated into dozens of languages and distributed around the world. But now, the Fire Bible for Kids NIV takes translation into the virtual realm as a free companion app pops 3D animation off this interactive Bible's pages.
 
"This is groundbreaking technology - not available at this advanced level in any other Bible - that brings print and animation together," says Steve Blount, vice-president for Assemblies of God publishing. "Each book of the Bible activates the app, enabling kids to engage in 3D animation, an interactive activity or a fun game that reinforces a biblical truth for that book of the Bible."
 
Blount explains that when the image on the first page of each book of the 66 books of the Bible in the Fire Bible for Kids NIV is scanned with an iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, android tablet or android phone with a rear-facing camera (and loaded with the free app), 3D images suddenly spring to life from the pages.
 
"The reviews of the app are overwhelmingly positive and kids love how the Bible comes to life before them," Blount says. "And it's use isn't limited to children at home - for example, children's pastors use it in kids church, homeschoolers use it with lessons, and Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ) leaders use it with their teams."
 
The 3D animation includes animated scenes and images, puzzles, memory verse games, a host character who shares Bible facts, and more. Some of the fun and educational experiences include: Watching the six days of Creation, blowing the horn to make the walls of Jericho fall down, matching the Fruit of the Spirit, and exploring Solomon's Temple.

The Fire Bible for Kids Companion app is available for free on iTunes and Google Play, with the Fire Bible for Kids NIV available through My Healthy Church, Family Christian stores, and Mardel stores.
