An Exploration of Mary in Luke’s Gospel
December 3, 10, and 17, 2013
Tuesday evenings, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Cooper Conference Room, The Erdman Center
You are invited to join PhD student Marcus Hong as we prepare for Christ’s coming through art, music, and spiritual practices. Together we will explore Luke’s multi-faceted portrayal of Mary, mother of Jesus, and the art that it has inspired. What does her story have to teach us about bearing witness to Christ, proclaiming the gospel, and nourishing our spirits?
•December 3: The Theotokos: Living a God-bearing Life (Luke 1:26-38)
•December 10: The Magnificat: Singing the Upside down Kingdom (Luke 1:39-56)
•December 17: The Contemplative: Treasuring the Presence of God (Luke 2:1-19)
