Dear Alums,
From the Alumni and Church Relations team to each of you—a blessed season of Thanksgiving! While we realize this is a holiday celebrated in the United States, Alumni Council Chair Chris Tweitmann points out below that it is a good reminder for all of us to be mindful of all that we have to be grateful for. The wonderful inaugural events of this past week, the thoughts shared by council member David Rohrer in his article here, and the comments by video of alumna Brenda Salter McNeil are but a few examples of how much blessing has come through Fuller Seminary over the years. With hope and in gratitude, we live in expectation that God has more in store for this place we love.
In the midst of those thanks, our hearts are deeply concerned for those affected by the typhoon in the Philippines. And more locally, we have received news of a number of our alumni who are facing significant health challenges.
Be thankful? Yes! Thanks be to God, we serve One who is Redeemer, Restorer, Healer…and more! God is the bringer of life and hope, even in the midst of the most difficult of human experiences.
May God gift each of us with authentic, grateful hearts.
A fellow sojourner,
Bert Jacklitch
